Basketball great Shaquille O’Neal took time out Saturday to throw some shade at NBA player Dwight Howard, and to address the hotness of racecar driver Danica Patrick.
Nowadays, Shaquille O’Neal is visible on Twitter and out and about, but he mused about his time playing alongside Howard and was a bit critical when it came to his former teammate’s big move to a smaller pond.
Shaq was at Daytona International Speedway Saturday, and he commented on Friday’s announced move for Howard to the Houston Rockets.
It was expected… We’ve all been in L. A., and not a whole lot of people can handle being under the bright lights. Everybody wants to do it, but when you get there, there are certain pressures. I think it was a safe move for him to go to a little town like Houston. That’s right, little town. I said it.
While it seems Shaquille O’Neal is not too impressed with the L.A. to Houston transfer Howard is facing, he did have some nice words — for Danica Patrick.
After O’Neal ragged on Howard, he turned to the subject of Patrick and voiced his opinion on the popular motorsport star.
The NBA legend said:
“Danica Patrick is one of my favorites. I hope she wins. She’s very feisty. I love the way she competes.”
He later commented on his earlier assessment, detailing why Shaq is a Danica Patrick fan:
“Honestly? She’s hot. Smokin’,” O’Neal said. “Hey, Danica, call me. Danica, call me.”
Do you agree with Shaquille O’Neal on Dwight Howard’s prospects in Houston?
