Elisha Cuthbert And Dion Phaneuf Receive Congrats From Maple Leafs

Elisha Cuthbert married Toronto Maple Leafs’ star Dion Phaneuf this past weekend. The popular couple tied the knot on Prince Edward Island and they’ve since received congrats from the Maple Leafs and Phaneuf’s teammates.

Cuthbert has regularly been seen at the Air Canada Centre supporting her man while his team was making a run at the NHL playoffs in 2013. Their season ended after losing to the Boston Bruins in Game 7 of the first round.

Phaneuf has become a standout defenseman in the league, but his relationship with Cuthbert has also become big news since the couple announced their engagement. The 30-year-old actress took to Twitter after Phaneuf proposed, in which she said, “Happily, happily, happily, happily engaged!”

She’s most notably recognized for her starring role in The Girl Next Door, but she hasn’t been on the big screen in quite some time. Her last major film was Captivity in 2007 and she hasn’t made an appearance in any movie since 2009.

Elisha Cuthbert hasn’t been in the spotlight for some time, but she has made the move to television with the Happy Endings series. Her return to the big screen is still up in the air as she isn’t signed on for any roles in the near future.

In the meantime, she’s enjoying her time as a newlywed and the couple has even received congrats from the Maple Leafs.

Maple Leafs’ center, Tyler Bozak, has also sent his best wishes to his newly married teammate.

Before you know it, another season of NHL hockey will be among us and Cuthbert will surely be in the stands to cheer on the Maple Leafs.

Are Elisha Cuthbert and Dion Phaneuf the perfect hockey couple?
