Leady!: Nine amazing pencil sculptures by Dalton Ghetti

“I use the sewing needle to make holes or dig into the graphite. I scratch and create lines and turn the graphite around slowly in my hand.”

Using only a razor blade, sewing needle, and sculpting knife (and not a magnifying glass), artist Dalton Ghetti creates some of the most intricate and detailed sculptures ever … out of nothing but pencils. Here are nine of his most jaw-dropping pieces; you can go here to see more. And if you were wondering, no, Ghetti never sells his work, but prefers to give it away to friends.
