Amid reports of gang rapes and violence on the streets of Egypt a chilling video has surfaced showing Islamist supporters of ousted Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi throwing two children off the roof a building during protests in the coastal city of Alexandria. The supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood have been getting increasingly violent as the Egyptian Military moves to transition the country away from Brotherhood rule.
Al Arabiya reported that at least one of the children thrown off the roof was killed form the fall. The video above shows the youths being thrown off and sprawled out on the concrete below. Muslim Brotherhood supporters are seen beating the bodies after they are already down. Other supporters near the bodies are seen waving the black flags of Al-Qaeda.
International media has reported that dozens of people are dead after a weekend of protests that have seen millions pouring into the streets to either welcome the ouster of Morsi or to protest it. The youth who was confirmed to have been killed was identified as Hamada Badr.
Mohammed Badr, Hamada’s father, was quoted saying “Do you know the teen that they killed and disfigured his body and threw from the fifth floor is only 19 and four days. All he was guilty of was that he was on the roof of the building, celebrating the ouster of Morsi. But the Brotherhood waged a war against whoever was celebrating Morsi’s departure”!
This atrocious event follows the severe gang rape of a Dutch reporter that happened in Tahir Square, during the biggest protests against Morsi to date. The reporter was reportedly thrown to the ground and gang raped by more than 20 supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood. She was taken to an Egyptian hospital for emergency surgery and transferred back to the Netherlands to receive treatment for horrific injuries sustained in the attack. More than 80 sexual assaults were reported at the protests in just one day last week.
