Taylor Swift Posts ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ Trespassing Signs On Property

Country/pop star Taylor Swift is notorious for allegedly using her song lyrics as barbed criticisms of her ex-boyfriends. Now, her songs are taking on a whole new threatening dimension as she is using them for trespassing signs on her property.

The quirky new signposts were placed around her Rhode Island property after a recent arrest near her home.

Since her move to a posh oceanfront mansion in coastal Watch Hill, a male swimmer was arrested in May for apparently coming a little too close to her private beach. Her security team has since been on high alert, but Swift decided to have a little bit of fun with future trespassers.

She has put up warnings around her plot, with a unique twist: They quote lyrics from her hit single “I Knew You Were Trouble.”

The signs read: “I knew you were trouble when you walked in. NO TRESPASSING.”

As if to say “Hi, you’ve found Taylor Swift’s property. Please go away or I will write songs about you.”

It’s actually pretty funny and one has to give credit to Swift for having a sense of humor about the situation. Still, her increased security has caused some tension with local authorities already as residents have reportedly been prevented from entering a public part of East Beach because it falls too close to the border on Swift’s property.

Swift dropped a whopping $17M for the home back in May. It is the fourth property she has bought. She also has a home in Nashville, Tennessee and one in Beverly Hills, California. She put her Massachusetts home on the market, possibly due to her break-up with local Conor Kennedy (at least that’s what the gossip rags say).
