Nancy Dolman, wife of Martin Short, dies at 58

Nancy Dolman, Martin Short’s wife of 30 years, died Saturday morning at their home in Pacific Palisades, California.

58-year-old Dolman met Short in 1972, and the couple married in 1980. Dolman was involved in show business, but retired to raise the couple’s three children- Katherine, 27, Oliver, 24, and Henry, 20. Her death was initially reported as a distress call:

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a medical emergency at the home at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Radar Online first reported. No cause of death was given, and Short’s rep had no further comment.

Short’s rep later commented to confirm that Dolman had died:

“Sadly, we can confirm that Martin Short’s wife did pass away,” Short’s rep Camille Kuznetz told CNN Monday. “We do not have any other comment to make.”

Information about Dolman’s cause of death or whether she was ill prior to her passing was not made available and no other official statement has been made.
