‘Dumb Ways To Die’ Series Gets Rio de Janeiro Treatment

In November 2012, the YouTube video “Dumb Ways to Die “swept the web by storm as it showed off dumb ways to die in Australia. The video included such stupid acts such as accidentally selling both of your kidneys online.

Now YouTuber TheLorems has created the followup that focus on Brazil, specifically Rio de Janeiro.

As we expected, the video’s creator believe it is possible to be equally unsafe in Rio de Janeiro as it is in Australia.

In the new video, such fatal accidents are featured as driving on a road full of holes and going out in a flood and getting electrocuted.

“The Dumb Ways to Die” tune is catchy, and the ways to die will definitely grab your attention. But, honestly, the video’s highlight really is the catchy song.

If you are actually in Rio de Janeiro or if you have a good grasp on the Portuguese language, you will also be able to read the songs lyrics as the video plays.

The video was uploaded on July 1 and currently has 6,180 views.

Okay, so maybe you won’t learn anything you don’t already know about Rio de Janeiro, but, at its heart, the video has a serious message. When traveling out of your familiar area, be safe, be smart, and don’t die in some pathetic way that will only draw international attention to your stupid tourist ways.
