Quantum of Solace director to direct World War Z
Quantum of Solace director Marc Forster will direct World War Z, the movie adaptation of the cult novel of the same name.
“Changeling” scribe J. Michael Straczynski is writing the screenplay, and Brad Pitt’s Plan B is producing, according to Variety.
World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War is a novel by Max Brooks (son of Mel Brooks) which chronicles a fictional zombie apocalypse, specifically the titular “Zombie World War”, as a series of after-the-fact oral history interviews with prominent survivors.

I read the book.. It's written as an Oral History.. I've read those types of books before (Japan at War) and Max Brooks got the style down perfectly.
