Enquisite Gets $3.2 Million

Search analysis startup Enquisite has secured a hefty $3.2 million in funding.

Enquisite, around since 2006, works with web sites to help them improve their search rankings with the major engines. The company calls its methods “next generation,” comparing its techniques to what TV measuring giant Nielsen has done in the world of broadcast. In a nutshell, the service measures response on the search engine side, so it registers a hit any time someone searches for your keyword. The company’s president goes into detail about some of his methods in his blog.

The newly secured cash will go toward building up a sales and marketing team and developing new features. Enquisite also plans to focus on landing partnerships with other major Web 2.0 organizations.

Enquisite has offices in San Francisco and Victoria, British Columbia.
