T-Pain Says Kanye West Is Rude, But Thinks Fatherhood Will Calm His Ego

Kanye West won’t be getting a “new dad” gift from rapper T-Pain.

Though they were once friends and collaborators, the relationship between West and T-Pain seems to have cooled recently, as the rapper confessed that he has no desire to get West a gift for becoming a new parent. His reason is simple: Kanye is just too rude.

In an interview with Us Weekly, T-Pain admitted:

“Kanye is much richer than me so I’m not even going to try [getting him and Kim Kardashian a gift]. Kanye has no couth when it comes to things like that, so when you bring him something, he’d be like, ‘What the f–k is this?'”

“You don’t want to be that person because he’ll make a big scene about that,” he continued. “You don’t want that.”

When asked what Kanye West will likely buy for his daughter, T-Pain joked “some golden shoes, some golden booties.”

There is some truth to T-Pain’s criticisms. Kanye West is notorious for his ego and diva-like attitude. The 36-year-old has most recently compared himself to iconic figures like Steve Jobs, Michael Jordan, Jimi Hendrix and Jesus.

T-Pain did admit that despite his feelings about West, he thinks the rapper will be a good dad, and that fatherhood may even him out over time.

“I think it’s gonna be good,” T-Pain opined. “I think he’s going to be great. If he has the child around enough — and I don’t know how that works with flights and stuff — but he’ll figure it out.”
