Farrah Abraham Checks Into Rehab For Alcohol Abuse

Farrah Abrahams saw herself into The Lukens Institute rehabilitation facility in Florida on Sunday night. She is to go through an intense 10-day counseling program to help her kick her abusive alcohol habit.

The 22 year old single mother, who went from MTV fame to porn, with her infamous sex tape earlier this year, said she wants to get kick the booze and get her life back under control.

As she told Radar online exclusively: “At this time in my life, I need to stay focused on the positive to get through all of the negative that a DUI has caused in my life.”

Speaking responsibly, clearly wanting to take her life in hand, for the sake of her daughter Sophia, aged 4, she continued: “I’m 22 and I want to make better choices and ensure I can recognize when I am putting myself in a bad situation next time.”

Farrah Abrahams daughter, Sophia is to remain under the care of her father, Mike while Farrah Abrahams completes her treatment, rumored to cost in excess of $12,000.

Back in March of this year the young star was arrested for drink driving in Omaha. Following that arrest Farrah was put on probation and told she must complete an alcohol education course.

She spoke about that incident to intouchweekly.com, at the time, blaming the failed breathalyzer on sickness and not alcohol:

“It was St. Patrick’s Day and I was out with my sister. I did not plan to drink because I was sick, so I took the role of being in charge and making sure my sister and I would return home together and safely. At 10 p.m., I tried to leave and at that time, my sister was not ready to leave, so I had been sipping on drinks to pass the time.”

Farrah Abrahams has certainly seen her fair share of scandal. At such a young age it seems she has experienced a lot. Do you think that this counseling course will give her the tools she needs to overcome her alcohol problem? Or do you think she needs some more intense treatment than this?
