Liberace’s Las Vegas Mansion Is For Sale, Expected to Be Sold For $529,900

For anyone who has a lot of money and unsure how to spend it, Liberace’s Las Vegas mansion is up for grabs. The rather expensive price tag for this residency has left many wondering whether it’s still a lavish property, or more likely to be a fixer-upper.

When the mansion was originally built in the 1960s it was seen as a very luxurious building; with ten bathrooms, two bedrooms and various large entertainment spaces, it certainly seemed to have a lot to offer.

There is also the fact that the bachelor pad from another era has gaudy chandeliers, a mirror bar etched with Liberace’s signature and, a rather impressive though very eccentric, bedroom ceiling covered with a $1.6 million reproduction of Michelangelo’s painting in the Sistine Chapel.

It definitely doesn’t seem like your everyday house, but everyone is different so there could be readers following this story who can totally relate to needing such fancy decorations.

Furthermore, with its past lavish qualities coupled with the recent biopic of Liberace and his secret love affair with Scott Thorson, the house has buckets of history to keep potential buyers desperate to get their hands on it. Or has it?

Liberace’s Las Vegas mansion has an asking price of $529,000, which is actually about $3 million less than what the house was sold for in 2006, still, it’s not exactly a cheap property either way.

Furthermore, the bank that owns the mansion is only entertaining cash offers, so flashing the plastic doesn’t sound like it will get you anywhere near purchasing this place.

Surprisingly though, or maybe it isn’t, the house hasn’t generated much official interest as of yet. Considering the property is located in an area that is often populated by various celebrities, nobody seems too bothered that they could add the Liberace mansion to their collection.

Moreover, with the reports of the house being “mediocre even by Vegas standards” the sellers of this property could be waiting for quite some time for anyone to show an interest.

Either way, if you’re sat reading about Liberace’s Las Vegas mansion and have nearly $600,000 burning in your back pocket, at least you know that you could buy the once popular pad.
