‘Liberal pundit’ Stephanie Miller comes out on air

Like Rosie O’Donnell before her, mentioning “future husbands” on her show seemed to be doing a pretty good job of keeping radio talk show host Stephanie Miller in the closet until the age of 48.

Miller decided to come clean about her sexuality today while speaking with also recently uncloseted country singer Chely Wright. Before the show, Miller tweeted:

There may be a lot of crying next hour.

She then added:

Stick around for the next hour. Mama’s got something to tell you.

Finally tweeting:

@chelywright on the show next, talking about me coming out…

Wright also mentioned Miller’s coming out on Twitter, saying:

Listen to my friend Stephanie Miller’s Show today. I’m gonna call in! She’s so awesome and smart and funny! http://www.stephaniemiller.com/

Wright then added:

SO PROUD OF STEPHANIE MILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prior to hosting her progressive radio show, Miller had a show on MSNBC and was a stand-up comic.
