Alyssa Milano Opens Up About Her Days On ‘Who’s The Boss’

Alyssa Milano recently opened up about her time on the hit 80s sitcom Who’s the Boss?.

The half-hour comedy ran for eight season on ABC between 1984 and 1992. Although she appeared in a few project prior to the series, it was the Who’s the Boss? that transformed her into a household name.

During her chat with Maxim magazine, Alyssa Milano discussed her days on the sitcom. Although many would have considered growing up in the public eye a little strange, the actress said she really didn’t know anything different at the time.

“You know, I went through puberty like everyone else; it only got embarrassing when the show would take what was going on with me and write it into the show, like ‘Samantha’s First Bra.’ It was like, OK, guys, do we really need to do this? But what an awesome time stamp!” she explained.

Following the show’s cancellation, Alyssa Milano appeared in a handful of low-budget and direct-to-video movies. Included in her filmography are the cult favorites Double Dragon, Glory Daze, and the erotic vampire flick Embrace of the Vampire.

After a brief stint on Melrose Place, the actress eventually found her way onto the syndicated drama Charmed. The show, which originally co-starred Holly Marie Combs and Shannen Doherty, would stick around for eight seasons.

Alyssa Milano said she is very fortunate to still have a career. She said the 80s were a time when child actors struggled to find work after the cancellation of their series.

“I think Christina Applegate and I are the only two who maintained some sort of career path past the shows that launched us. But I have a great family, and I look at a lot of these kids who struggle in the industry and think they’d have struggled no matter what they did,” she said.

Not only does the actress dish on her early days on Who’s the Boss? and her career, she also shows off her well-toned 40-year-old body. You can check out her cover below.
