Fifty Shades Of Grey author tops Forbes list with $95 million

Fifty Shades Movie Cast: New Rumor Points To Robert Pattinson

The Fifty Shades Of Grey movie has a director, it has a release date, but it still doesn’t have a cast. The latest rumor points to Robert Pattinson in the lead role but the information is flimsy at best.

Pattinson was recently spotted out at a birthday party. The Twilight star threw a party for Nicholas Jarecki at his home in Los Angeles and apparently invited author E. L. James.

Pattinson has a pretty busy schedule coming up (he has five movies slated for the next two years) and he can’t work with everyone that attends one of his parties. On the other hand, E! Online notes that Fifty Shades Of Grey started out as Twilight fan fiction so Pattinson would be a pretty perfect fit.

As of now, however, the Fifty Shades movie cast is still a mystery.

Focus Features announced today that the new movie will hit theaters in August of 2014 so they’re going to have to start production sometime soon. Sam Taylor-Johnson has been tipped to direct and Kelly Marcel has adapted the novel into a screenplay.

Do you think Robert Pattinson will play Christian Grey in the new movie?

With a release date already set, a director already hired, and a screenplay already written one has to wonder what’s holding up the casting decisions. One MAJOR problem for Focus Features could be that no one wants to soil their good name by joining the Fifty Shades movie cast.

Emma Watson harshly shot down rumors earlier this year that she would be in the movie.

Armie Hammer, Chris Evans, Mila Kunis, Ryan Gosling, Jake Gyllenhaal, Justin Bieber, Matt Bomer, Chris Pine, and Ian Solmerhalder have all been attached to the Fifty Shades movie cast through rumors so far. Of course, none of them have actually signed in to play the part.

Do you think Focus Features is having a hard time finding someone to take a risk on Fifty Shades Of Grey? Do you think the movie will find an A-list cast? Or is this movie destined to be the summer flop of 2014?
