American living in China jailed for one week for not having license


An American living and working in Shanghai was jailed for one week for riding a motor cycle without a Chinese driver’s license or an International driving permit. For a week he was put in a small cell with nine other Chinese prisoners.

The reactions are mixed with some people saying the sentence was too harsh, while other people saying that in some states in the United States he could have also been sent to jail.
