Disabled Mini-Horse, Roozer Brewz, Uses A Tiny Wheelchair And Is Downright Adorable [Video]

Roozer Brewz, an adorable miniature pony who was born with a genetic defect in his legs which prevents him from standing, has been learning to use a new wheelchair.

The “dwarf” horse, who hails from Kansas City, has struggled to move throughout his entire life, but vets have now fitted him with wheel braces, which have allowed the horse to move around with ease.

Roozer Brewz’s first movements in the contraption have been caught on camera. You can view the footage above, and it might be the most adorable clip you’ll watch all day.

The horse only weighs 50 pounds and stands just 19 inches off the ground. Since his birth, when he was born bow-legged, he has needed to be placed in large bandages to protect his hooves and skin and to keep him level.

The horse’s owner, Christine Clark, a former veterinarian technician turned nurse, owns a four-acre property where Roozer can learn to use the device. She stated, “He’s part of our life now, part of our routine.” Clark also took the time to describe his as “spunky” and “ornery.”

Brews has developed into a advocate for children with disabilities due to his own physical appearance. Clark takes Roozer Brewz to visit children with their own disorders and disabilities, and he is now a symbol of the anti-bullying campaign.

Earlier this year, Naki’o, a puppy who lost all of his paws due to frostbite, was fitted with four prosthetic paws. His new feet were made with the same materials that human prosthetics are produced from, were also water-proof, and even had BMX bicycle tire-tread to increase its stability.

Clark’s Facebook page dedicated to the horse states, “He doesn’t give up or get frustrated with the challenges of everyday life. He has learned to compromise and if one way doesn’t work, then another will.”
