Alyssa Milano Unbuttons For Maxim

Alyssa Milano showed some skin on the cover of Maxim Magazine.

The 40-year-old star has spent most of her life in front of the camera. She starred in the 80s sitcom Who’s The Boss and is now heading to ABC for the new drama Mistresses.

Milano was about 12-years-old when she started filming Who’s The Boss and the star admits that it was a little awkward filming scenes about puberty for the sitcom.

Milano said: “It wasn’t weird, because I didn’t know any different. You know, I went through puberty like everyone else; it only got embarrassing when the show would take what was going on with me and write it into the show, like ‘Samantha’s First Bra.’ It was like, OK, guys, do we really need to do this? But what an awesome time stamp!”

Alyssa started acting at an early age but she didn’t fall into many of the standard childhood star traps. The actress has had a pretty steady career since her days on Who’s The Boss which she attributes to the support of her family.

Milano said: “That was an era when TV child actors just didn’t work after their show was over. I think Christina Applegate and I are the only two who maintained some sort of career path past the shows that launched us. But I have a great family, and I look at a lot of these kids who struggle in the industry and think they’d have struggled no matter what they did.”

Here’s the 40-year-old star’s latest Maxim cover.

In addition to the new ABC show, Milano is also scheduled to host Project Runway All Stars.

Maxim’s July/August issue is on newsstands now.
