Bindi Irwin, the 14-year-old daughter of The Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, was at the red carpet for the Australian premiere of Man of Steel.
She attended the event with family friend and star of the film, Russell Crowe, who plays Superman’s real father, Kal-El. Crowe also brought with him his two young sons, Tennyson and Charles, who looked adorable in their matching suits and bow ties.
Irwin who is a celebrity in her own right in her native Australia, first came to be known to the public when she appeared alongside her adventurous father on his TV shows.
When he passed away tragically after a freak accident in which a sting ray pierced his heart with its barb, she has continued with his legacy and work on behalf of wildlife.
The premiere took place at Event Cinemas in Sydney and saw Russell Crowe bringing Bindi Irwin and his two youngsters looking happy while posing for photographers.
Also walking the red carpet were director Zack Snyder and Superman himself, British actor Henry Cavill, who arrived earlier than anyone else to ensure that he would have time to pose for pictures and sign autographs for his fans.
Henry told reporters, “It’s one of those things where you just have to enjoy it, and I’m trying to enjoy this moment as much as I possibly can.”
Man of Steel enjoyed the biggest June opening in the US two weeks ago and has premiered in several foreign markets. The movie opens to the public in Australia this Thursday.
Russell Crowe is of course one of the most notable Aussie big screen actors and has been promoting the film with Snyder, Cavill, and Amy Adams around the globe.
The daughter of The Crocodile Hunter is not only concerned about wildlife; she is involved in acting, singing, songwriting, dancing, and rapping and a has produced a fitness DVD.
