Man Rips Off Part Of Penis After Taking Mushrooms

A man in Michigan suffered severe consequences after a mushroom trip. Being high on the hallucinogenic drug caused him to rip off a part of his penis.

The 41-year-old man was found naked and screaming at Ypsilanti Middle School by Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies. He was on his knees and bleeding from the waist down. The police officer subdued the man before calling an ambulance.

Sgt. Geoff Fox said that the man wasn’t saying much of anything. He was just yelling and screaming. “He wasn’t making sense. They couldn’t really communicate with him in terms of constructive conversation.”

Fox also revealed that the man was very close to death. “In terms of vital signs, they were as low as they could go without being dead, I could only assume due to the blood loss and the shock and trauma to the body,” he said.

The man is still in the hospital today and recovering from his injuries. He told investigators that he picked up the mushrooms earlier in the day while he was in town visiting with friends. However, he doesn’t have a history of mental illness or extensive drug use.

Ypsilanti Township resident Brandon Simmons said he was concerned about the man’s recovery. “Is he still alive? My prayers go out to him, and I hope he’s going to make it. Wow?….I’m at a loss for words.”

Just last month, a Taiwanese man cut off his penis during a fight with his girlfriend. He was very drunk and actually cut his penis off with scissors.

After he removed his penis, he tossed it in his toilet and flushed it. He slipped in a coma by the time his girlfriend got him to a hospital, but he was expected to make a full recovery.
