Bubba Watson Argues With Caddie After Bad Shot [Video]
Bubba Watson was having a pretty good round at the Travelers Championship but then his caddie went and screwed everything up. Well, that’s who Bubba blamed.
The golfer entered the 16th hole at the Travelers with a two-shot lead. Bubba hit his drive way over the green and ended up with a triple-bogey. Yep, Bubba got a triple-bogey on a simple par 3.
How does that happen? Well, Bubba blamed his caddy Ted Scott for giving him the wrong club.
Bubba said: “Water. It’s in the water. That club. Yes, the water … So you’re telling me that’s the right yardage?”
Bubba was angry after losing the lead but it really wasn’t the caddy’s fault. Watson is the one who hit the shot and he’s the one that makes the ultimate decision about what club to use.
Some people said that Bubba would lose some fans over the outburst but that probably won’t happen. The golfer’s “tirade” was pretty calm and he even attempted to clarify things on Twitter after the tournament.
Picked the wrong club on the 16th hole. But it was still a great week. Thanks to the fans & Travelers for another great tourney!
