Florida Man Gets Beaten And Robbed On First Date

Shaun Paul Williams probably did not expect to be beaten, stripped, and robbed at gunpoint on a first date, but that is exactly what happened to him.

The Florida man scheduled a date Friday with a woman he met at a couple of weeks ago. The woman told him that she would pick him at the convenience store where they first met.

The woman unexpectedly brought two men with her and said she needed to drop them off before they went on a date. She said one of them was her brother and the other one was her brother’s friend. After a few minutes of driving, she turned into a side street because one of the men claimed he needed to wait for a friend.

When Williams got out of the car to take a bathroom break, he was hit in the head with a metal object and ordered to give up his money and clothes. The 34-year-old could not believe what was going on and asked his attacker if he was serious.

His attacker responded, “Do you see what I’ve got pointed at you?”

The Florida man opened up his eyes and saw a semi-automatic pistol pointed at his face. He gave the men the clothes on his back, $200 in cash, cell phone, and his driver’s license.

They sped off and left Williams standing on the side of the road. He was eventually found by police, who took him to the hospital where he was treated for cuts on his face.

“I should have known better when I see two other individuals in the car,” Williams said.

Do you think Williams was naive for getting into a car with two other people in it? Or do you think it was a mistake anyone could have made?
