Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 Begins Shipping With 3D Capabilities


The 3D capable Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 began shipping this week and includes the TriDef 3D system, NVIDIA powered 3D technology and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 GPU. The unit also offers a 15.6 inch display that can output up to 1366×768 pixels of resolution.

Lenovo has also thrown in a 1.60GHz quad Core i7 processor, the first to arrive to market, which is powered by 4GB RAM and a 500GB HDD.

Customers can buy the system directly from Lenovo and through various Lenovo retailers.

While the system is pretty straightforward at this time, Lenovo is promising various versions of future systems ranging from Core i3 to i7 processors with up to 1.86GHz speeds and additional peripherals including Blu-ray drives, the Lenovo hybrid storage system, quick-boot 64GB SSD, and RapidDrive technology.
