AT&T Delays Walk-In Sales Of iPhone 4

If you were hoping to waltz into an AT&T retail store and pick up the iPhone 4 you’ll have to wait until June 29th.

According to AT&T the delay is due to “ten times more pre-orders than ever before” although SlashGear is under the belief it could have been server issues, which given AT&T’s own network issues is easy to believe.

With more than 600,000 pre-orders the walk-in purchase delay does make sense and the company is still promising that if you went ahead and pre-ordered your device it will still be there waiting for you.

In the meantime you can head over to Walmart, RadioShack and Best Buy locations on June 24th and try your luck there.
