U.S. Cellular To Ship Samsung Acclaim At Start Of July

On July 9th US Cellular will officially begin shipping the Android-powered Samsung Acclaim. The announcement comes via the companies official Facebook page and includes a contest! Since I like free stuff it peaked my interest and a free Acclaim wouldn’t be a bad item to win.

The Samsung Acclaim is powered by Google Android 2.1 and features a horizontal QWERTY slide-out keyboard, 3.2 inch touchscreen display with 480 x 320 pixels of resolution and a 3 megapixel camera with flash.  The unit also features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and a microSDHC card slot which can provide up to 32 GB of added memory.

Unfortunately there’s still no pricing available, but given the tight competition in the iPhone/Android dominated market at the moment, I suspect it won’t be too expensive.
