[VIDEO] Medal of Honor gets release date, new trailer

EA’s forthcoming blockbuster first-person shooter and BEARDFESTMedal of Honor will be on sale in the U.S. on October 12, with Europe getting the game on October 15.

It’s coming out on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, and will no doubt be aiming to topple current shooter king, Modern Warfare 2. The game will be set in modern-day Afghanistan, a break from the franchise’s past, which has usually focused on conflicts from history.

To celebrate its newly announced release date, EA conjured up a new trailer. Typically, there’s no gameplay on display. Do modern game trailers even feature gameplay any more? Or just this mushy trying-to-be-a-film-so-hard-it-hurts nonsense? Anyway, uh, here it is:
