Male model Ambrose Olsen dies at 24


You may not know his name, but you almost certainly know his face.

Popular male model Ambrose Olsen, who has appeared in high-profile campaigns for Armani Exchange and Hugo Boss, died suddenly in New York City on April 22nd. Aside from describing Olsen’s death at the age of 24 “unexpected,” very few details are available regarding the incident. Neither cause of death nor exact location have been disclosed.

Olsen was born in Homer, Alabama in 1985 and moved to New York at the age of 17 to start modeling. He was featured in a high profile 2007 campaign for Armani Exchange with supermodel Adriana Lima. The following information regarding memorial services for Olsen appeared in the Albany area Post Star:

Friends may call upon the family at the Durkeetown Baptist Church, 2 Durkeetown Road, Fort Edward, N.Y., on Thursday, April 29, 2010, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the Durkeetown Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 30, 2010.

The paper indicated that a “full obituary” will be posted tomorrow
