[RUMOR] Black Wii coming to North America in May

I’m calling it: of all the current-generation game consoles out there, Nintendo’s black Wii is still the sleekest, most handsome beast out there.

Sadly, it’s also only available in Japan and Europe … though not for much longer, perhaps.

Several retail sources have tipped off Kotaku that a black Wii bundle will launch in the United States and Canada next month, along with a copy of Wii Sports Resort and a Wii MotionPlus add-on for $199.99.

According to moles at Target, GameStop, Future Shop, and FYE, the new Wii is scheduled for a May 9 release in the U.S., and a May 23 launch in Canada. This seems only right – after all, North America has had black Wii Remotes, Nunchuks and Classic Controllers for some time now.
