2 Chainz Robbery Caught On Video

Video footage of 2 Chainz being robbed at gunpoint has surfaced.

The rapper, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, denied that he was the victim of a robbery in San Francisco on Sunday. He wrote out a list of rules on Twitter explaining why the story was false.

“Rule #1 if a rapper gets robbed people usually post items that has been taken. Rings, chains, watch, money etc. 2 answer that question,” he wrote.

“Rule#2 if a rapper gets shot he usually go to hospital or dies,” he added.

But the San Francisco Police Department confirmed that 2 Chainz was, in fact, robbed. And now, surveillance footage of the incident has turned up.

The robbery is caught on two cameras, one facing the rapper and his entourage, and the other capturing the encounter from behind.

2 Chainz and his crew were walking down the street when at least two men approached and pointed guns at them. One of the men was wearing a white shirt, and the other had on a black hoodie. 2 Chainz and his entourage ran from the scene, and the gunmen chased them.

2 Chainz then stumbles and falls, and one of the gunmen stands over him with his gun drawn. At the end of the video, the man in the black hoodie runs back up the street with something stuff under his shirt. According to police, 2 Chainz had his cell phone and wallet stolen.

The robbery happened just days before the rapper was arrested at LAX on drug charges. The 35-year-old was removed from an outbound flight after TSA found promethazine, and marijuana in his checked luggage. Promethazine is one of the key ingredients in “sizzurp,” and is mixed with codeine and cough syrup to make the dangerous drink. 2 Chainz was then placed under arrest, his second this year. The rapper was arrested for possession in February, but he was later acquitted when a judge decided there wasn’t significant evidence to prove that the object was his.
