Lauren Conrad Tests New Bangs On ‘Marie Claire’ Cover

Lauren Conrad landed on the cover of Marie Claire this week and there was something a little different about her hair: She had bangs.

Conrad has become a bit of a fashionista since her days on The Hills. She has her own clothing line at Kohl’s and runs a website where she frequently gives fashion tips.

Thousands of women around the country will likely copy Conrad’s new hairstyle but The Hollywood Life reports that Conrad’s bangs are actually fake. Yep, Conrad used some clip-ins in order to test out the look before she did anything drastic to her hair.

Conrad is most famous for her role on shows like Laguna Beach and The Hills but the actress is hoping to move beyond the world of television. She has her own clothing line and recently released a new book.

Conrad said: “I hoped I didn’t (have to stay on TV). Everybody told me to stay on TV. Nobody wanted me to leave.”

Conrad said that her new book, Infamous, will give her fans a more complete picture about her life. Conrad said that shows like The Hills only showed small snippets of her personality but her new book will reveal everything.

The author said: “I only ever got to tell half my story … People are very quick to judge these days, especially behind the anonymity of a screen name. It’s very easy to say, ‘I hate her, I hate what she wore, she seems mean.’ But you’re only seeing a small fraction of her life.”

Here are some photos of Lauren Conrad in the latest issue of Marie Claire.
