E3 2013: ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ Drops Several New Images [Photo]

Rockstar dropped nine new Grand Theft Auto V images at E3 2013.

The release date for the next highly-anticipated installment of the open world franchise is getting closer every single day. In an effort to keep reminding you of that fact, the developers have released nearly a dozen new pictures designed to keep the buzz alive.

As far as promotional images are concerned, the latest Grand Theft Auto V stills are simply okay. They really don’t feature anything we haven’t seen before. A couple of the pics showcase a few of the water-based vehicles players will be able to control, while others show how stylishly our heroes hold their weapons.

Although the latest Grand Theft Auto V images show nothing new, it’s still cool to see some of the sights the game has to offer. According to Rockstar, the game will be their largest and most ambitious offering to-date.

The map itself is enormous; the company claims it’s larger than San Andreas, Red Dead Redemption, and Grand Theft Auto IV combined. That’s a lot of land to explore, though most players will be more than willing to scour every nook and cranny during their adventure.

During Sony’s presentation at E3 2013, the company revealed the Grand Theft Auto V PS3 bundle. The package comes with the latest GTA title as well as a 500GB PS3 Slim. You’ll also receive a 30-Day PS Plus membership. The whole thing is going to set you back around $299.

You can complete your GTA V experience by purchasing a $179.99 pair of Rockstar headphones. By the time everything is said and done, the masterminds behind the franchise are hoping to have separated you from a considerable amount of your disposable income.

Grand Theft Auto V will hit the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 13. Are you planning to pick up a copy of the sequel on the day it hits retail shelves?
