Kate Upton ‘Just Friends’ With Maksim Chmerkovskiy

Kate Upton and Maksim Chmerkovskiy may not be dating after all.

Although reports surfaced that the model and the dancer were possibly striking up a romance, a few sources recently stated the pair are just “good friends.”

According to the folks at E! Online, two insiders revealed Kate Upton and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are just enjoying each other’s company. One anonymous individual said they hadn’t heard anything about them dating. In other words, Upton may still be on the market.

Rumors making the rounds yesterday (June 11) stated the model and her potential boyfriend were seen getting cozy together at a restaurant in New York City. Despite rumors of their romantic dinner at Scalinatella, an insider said there was “nothing romantic” about the pair’s encounter.

These E! Online sources might want to start checking their notes with the insiders Us Weekly has been using. The two websites tell a very different story about Kate Upton and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Unnamed sources told Us Weekly the model and the dancer were, in fact, a couple.

“It’s very new. They were set up through friends. They just started dating,” an insider told the website. “They were very canoodly. It was a very intimate meal.”

Until Kate Upton and Maksim Chmerkovskiy come out publicly with their romance, it’s probably best to take any and all reports from anonymous sources with a grain of salt. When they’re ready to let the world know they’re dating, one of them will probably tweet about it.

The model is currently filming the movie The Other Woman with Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann. Although Upton has appeared in The Tower Heist and The Three Stooges, the movie will mark her first starring role.
