As if performing live on the CMA’s isn’t stressful enough, Kelly Clarkson had the additional upset of misplacing her custom made, canary yellow engagement ring as she made her way on stage Saturday night at the 2013 CMA Music Festival in Nashville.
According to CMT.com, Clarkson, who’s set to wed Brandon Blackstock on October 20, kept apologizing to her fiance from the stage.
She wanted to make sure to squash any possible rumors of bumps in their relationship before they got started.
USA Today reported the following:
According to CMT.com, the former American Idol winner blamed the disappearance of her ring on nerves and told the 60,000 fans at the event: “This is my first official set at a country … thing. I’ve been nervous all day because I wanted to be good for you!”
Nerves can get the best of anyone, so it shouldn’t suprise anyone that she forgot to put them back on.
Apparently, Clarkson had removed her rings while preparing for her performance, and based on the statement above, she forgot to put them back on.
The previous day, Clarkson tweeted a photo of her new album cover, Tie It Up, where her ring can be seen on her finger.

After her set, Clarkson frantically searched around for her missing rings and later that night tweeted all her fans the following:
For all of the concerned fans I FOUND MY RINGS!!! Seriously, panicked in my head all night long …..so did Brandon haha!

It would seem like Clarkson can rest easy after the stress of the CMAs and the added stress of her missing engagement ring!
