Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones Arrested After Altercation At Cincinnati Bar

Adam “Pacman” Jones was arrested today after getting into a bar fight in Cincinnati.

The incident occurred on Thursday night after a Cincinnati Reds game. Jones wrote on Twitter this morning that he was turning himself in to police.

Jones wrote on Twitter: “Just got arrested for protecting myself, I will not let this break me or change what I have work so hard for. . . .”

According to Pro Football Talk, Jones was at a bar when two women approached him and asked to take a photograph. When Jones declined the request one of the women allegedly threw a beer bottle at him. Jones turned and slapped the woman, saying: “What are your doing? Stop it!”

The woman reported the event to police and Jones was arrested this morning.

Jones’ agent, Peter Schaffer, called the arrest a “travesty of justice.”

Schaffer said: “If it was anybody other than Adam Jones, they would have investigated it … If it was anybody other than Adam Jones, they wouldn’t have arrested him.”

Jones has had multiple run-ins with police during the course of his career but he has largely stayed out of trouble in recent years. According to Sports Illustrated, his last arrest came in the summer of 2011 when he was arrested for disorderly conduct. He paid a $25ofine for that incident and was sentenced to community service.
