Portia De Rossi Had Plastic Surgery? Rumors Circulated After New ‘Arrested Development’ Episodes

Fans of Arrested Development noticed that the character Lindsey Bluth looked a little different in the new episodes. Rumors started circulating that Portia De Rossi had undergone plastic surgery, but a source close to the actress said that the rumors aren’t true.

A source close to the actress told E! Online that it was the character’s wig that made her appear different and not the actress’s face.

The source said: “She’s absolutely not had plastic surgery. Her character is clearly wearing a wig, which ended up altering her entire look.”

Portia De Rossi addressed her image, but not necessarily plastic surgery, recently in an interview with People Magazine. The actress said that she, as well as all women, felt pressure to look young despite getting older.

De Rossi said: “As women we’re so conditioned to think that beauty and age are very important – that you stay kind of youthful in order to be beautiful … I don’t think it’s fair for people to think that women are just vain because they’re worried about getting older. It’s actually really linked in with a lot of very primitive stuff for women.”

De Rossi hasn’t commented directly on the rumors yet but many speculate that Lindsey’s new look may have been a creative choice by show creator Mich Hurwitz. Lindsey is a very self-absorbed character and a bit of plastic surgery definitely fits the show. So Lindsey Bluth may have had plastic surgery but not necessarily Portia De Rossi.

What do you think? Did Portia De Rossi have plastic surgery?

Here’s a photo of the actress from the premiere of the fourth season of Arrested Development.

Here’s a look at how her character has evolved on the show.

Portia’s character has definitely changed between the third and fourth seasons, but it doesn’t look like Portia has had any work done herself.

What do you think?
