Motorola i1 Goes From Rumor To “Ready For Release”

Just a few short weeks ago the Motorola i1 was a rumored device that might hit retail locations. Now that device has been officially announced and is getting ready for sale, albeit only in several locations in the southern part of the United States.

The phone is hitting SouthernLINC, a rural carrier that you’ve probably only discovered if driving through parts of Alabama, George and the Florida panhandle.

The iDen phone offers military specs (dust/waterproof) and comes equipped with the standard iDen push-to-talk smartphone.
