Some people think it’s acceptable to call DWTS pro Cheryl Burke “fat,” but then again, a lot of gorgeous people end up under the radar thanks to their jobs. Since Cheryl Burke isn’t anywhere near heavy, I was hoping that this would fizzle out. But noooo, now DWTS’ Louis Van Amstel and Maksim Chmerkovskiy criticized Burke’s weight gain (5 pounds!), and Jennifer Love Hewitt has jumped into the mix to defend Cheryl.
Jennifer told People that “Cheryl Burke is so beautiful and an amazing dancer and that’s what people should concentrate on. I think [people] feel like people don’t have any feelings.”
At least someone else is standing up for her. It’s just too bad that Jennifer herself caved last year after she was criticized for her bikini body and lost a ton of weight.

The gossip world is spreading this concocted story like wildfire. The conversations among the guys and Cheryl and Lacy did not take place but were put together by the original tacky gossiper. While we all agree that the point needs to be made about avoiding the too-thin syndromes, there was no need to take Louis and Maksim down on this issue.
Don't you guys in the gossip world ever check your stories?

I think that Maksim and Louis made themselves pretty clear in TV Guide, and they ended up sounding like jerks.
