Psy Impersonator Tricks Movie Stars At Cannes Film Festival

A man has crashed the Cannes Film Festival pretending to be the Korean singer, Psy, whose most famous hit was 2012’s, “Gangnam Style.”

The man has been seen partying with the likes of Adrien Brody and Naomie Harris, who starred in Sam Mendes’ Skyfall and even tweeted an image of herself with the faux singer, plus he has also been seen picking up free gifts and dancing on a French TV show.

He also apparently has signed a contract to be honored at a gala in Monaco. However, the charade has now come to an end after the real Psy came forward to state that he wasn’t, in fact, him.

A jewellery brand even took a photo of the fake Psy wearing their items, and then uploaded the picture to their Twitter feed. However, when a representative for the New York Post contacted the company to inform them of the deceit, they responded, “I’m afraid I’m not entirely sure what you mean. It was the real Psy.”

A source for the paper claimed that the impostor attended a hot Torch Beach Club, and they revealed, “He was playing it up full scale. He had three security guards with him at all times, in suits and earpieces. He was scamming free drinks and bottle service … three bottles of Cristal Rosé with lunch.”

The fake Psy also employed a manager who managed to negotiate a deal for him to appear at the upcoming Better World Awards in Monaco.

However a organizer for the event emailed NY Post to stated, “We’ve been duped. I had a conversation with his label … it [wasn’t] him, just a look-alike.”

The real Psy then tweeted from Singapore, “Seems like there’s another ME at cannes … say Hi to him,” before Harris updated her account, remarking, “It looks as if we’ve been fooled, that wasn’t the real [PSY]! Could anyone else tell from the picture? Or am I just going crazy!? Haha!” Not crazy, but slightly racist maybe.

Do you think the impostor looks like the real Psy?
