Dwyane Wade Prom Bomb: NBA Superstar Shocks Miami Teen
A Dwyane Wade prom surprise shocked one Miami teen — who’d asked the Heat player to escort her to the dance on Twitter.
The unwitting teen who became Dwyane Wade’s prom date was Nicole Muxo, 17, who had posted a YouTube vid last month asking the NBA star to take her to her prom.
Muxo hadn’t heard back, but it wasn’t the first time Wade had been forced to turn her down for a high school event — the teen explained of her efforts to get Dwyane Wade as a prom date:
“I’m going to remember it forever … Back when I met him last year, I asked him to homecoming, but the season was about to start, and he had practice, so he couldn’t make it, so I thought, why not take another shot and ask him to prom?”
Of her persistence, Wade said:
“She continued to go for it no matter how many times I told her I’m going to be busy she continued asking if I’m going to come.”
Get it, girl!
Later that evening, the teen who became Dwyane Wade’s prom date simply tweeted:
“THANK YOU SO MUCH @DwyaneWade FOR COMING TO MY PROM TONIGHT! YOU MADE MY DREAMS COME TRUE!”
The teen’s school also tweeted about Nicole’s prom luck, with a pic:

Over on Twitter, Wade tweeted also about his acceptance of Muxo’s proposal as evidence that you should never be afraid to ask, and said:
