Justin Bieber To Drop Tasty New Track Featuring Rapper Tyga This Year

Justin Bieber has made headlines for everything but his music over the last few months.

But now, just days after the teen star’s Twitter announcement promising extra Believe tour dates and new music, comes a tasty snippet of an upcoming track from the 19-year-old featuring Young Money rapper Tyga.

The surprise reveal came via the Internet after a Swedish fan posted footage of an April 24 visit to Stockholm’s Rose nightclub by Team Bieber during a three concert date tour stop in Sweden.

Alongside tour DJ Tay James manning the decks, a certain red onesie wearing Canadian dropped the new track on an unsuspecting but appreciative roomful of screaming, iPhone waving club-goers.

Details on the track title aren’t known but speculation varies from “Wait for Me,” to “Wait,” to (unfathomably) “Ringing Na Na.”

For those interested, Bieber’s 1.34 club shout out: “We got Mike Lerner in this b***h.”

Views at the YouTube page of the original user who uploaded the footage have now passed 101,000 (and counting) since it was posted on May 3.

Comments from viewers are unanimously complimentary to say the least, and it’s possible grassroots support and growing hype about the track could push a release date forward.

Young Money HQ, a fan site that supports the Lil Wayne owned Young Money Entertainment record label — whose roster includes artists such as Drake, Lil Twist, Nicki Minaj and P J Morton — confirmed news of the upcoming Bieber-Tyga track on May 10, tweeting:

Tyga’s — aka Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson — musical history is an interesting one.

After working with Gym Class Heroes’ Travis McCoy, a 2007 appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards alongside McCoy and Lil Wayne led to a 2008 debut album No Introduction on Decaydance Records and a slew of mixtapes.

“Diamond Life,” a notable track on the album later featured on the video game Need for Speed: Undercover and the 2009 film Fighting. Tyga’s 2007 mixtape, “Young on Probation” spawned “Deuces” which peaked at 14 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and number one on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts in 2010. It was also nominated forBest Rap/Sung Collaborationat the53rd Grammy Awards in 2011.

After signing with Young Money in late 2010/early 2011, Tyga’s second album Careless World: Rise of the Last King was released in February 2012. His third studio album Hotel California followed on April 9 this year.

Bieber’s ongoing relationship with Young Money artists is an established one.

Often performing Tyga’s “Rack City” at his own concerts, the singer collaborated with Minaj on “Beauty and A Beat,” an October 2012 single from his third studio album Believe. The pop star is also friends with rapper Lil Twist, another Young Money signing.

As yet there’s no word on exactly when the Bieber-Tyga team-up will drop, but here’s hoping the creeping basslined, gorgeously vocalized track arrives sooner rather than later.
