ProFlowers Partners With eBay

ProFlowers Offers EBay Online Storefront

ProFlowers is now offering an eBay online storefront. Just in time for Mother’s Day, the San Diego based retailer has made it even easier to order fresh flowers online.

Founded in 1998, ProFlowers offers a delivery service for fresh cut flowers, plants, vases, chocolate candy, and other gifts. The flowers and gifts include a card which can be personalized for any occasion.

As discussed by Fort Mill Times, the flowers are provided directly from the growers, ensuring that the flowers are delivered fresh. J.D. Power and Associates has given ProFlowers the distinction of having the “Highest Customer Satisfaction with Online Flower Retailers.”

ProFlowers General Manager, Bill Patterson, made the decision to partner with eBay, as they have marked “success in attracting respected brands.” As Mother’s Day approaches, Patterson hopes the partnership will make purchasing quality flowers simple and efficient.

As discussed by modernmom.com, Mother’s Day is a tradition that began in 1908. In 1914, as suggested by Anna Jarvis, Congress officially named the second Sunday in May as Mother’s Day.

Every year over $18 million is spent on Mother’s Day gifts. While Modern Mom reports that 91 percent of mothers would like an IPad, they are more likely to receive a card.

Actually 82 percent of mothers will receive a card for Mother’s Day, compared to nine percent that will receive an electronic gift. Other popular gifts include books, housewares, dinner, jewelry, clothing, and personal care items.

Around 65 percent of moms will be receiving flowers. This can be evidenced by looking at radio advertisements. As reported by radiolink.com, while Home Depot, GEICO, and McDonalds continue to hold the top three spots, ProFlowers came in fourth place. Within one week, ProFlowers aired 26,330 radio advertisements.

ProFlowers features several Mother’s Day specials. The most inexpensive special includes a small basket, containing a potted rose, for around $20. For about $60, the most expensive Mother’s Day special is a tiny moss terrarium kit.
