Harry Reid: Obamacare A Train Wreck

Obamacare is a train wreck according to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who was one of the primary Democrats who pushed the Affordable Care Act through Congress in the first place.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Democratic Senator Max Baucus originally called Obamacare a “huge train wreck.” Unlike Harry Reid, Max Baucus does not plan on running for reelection so he does not have to worry too much about what he says:

“I just see a huge train wreck coming down. You and I have discussed this many times, and I don’t see any results yet … I’m very concerned that not enough is being done so far — very concerned … small businesses have no idea what to do, what to expect.”

Surprisingly, Harry Reid agrees that Obamacare is a train wreck:

“Max said unless we implement this properly it’s going to be a train wreck and I agree with him. Here’s what we have now: We have the menu but we don’t have any way to get to the menu.”

Harry Reid is referring to the fact that many States are having issues setting up state-run health insurance exchanges. This is despite a survey showing 84 millions Americans having inadequate health insurance in 2012.

Because state healthcare exchanges are apparently way behind schedule businesses are unsure how to cope. Regal Cinemas blamed Obamacare for cutting workers hours because the law forces employers to provide health insurance coverage to everyone who works at least 30 hours, or pay a $2,000 per person fine, but then Regal Cinemas faced a backlash from Obamacare supporters.

The Obamacare debate was also heightened by news that the immigration reform laws would give small businesses a $3,000 benefit per year for hiring former illegal immigrants. The illegal immigrant exemption might even mean it’d be more cost effective for small businesses to hire newly legal immigrants for full-time positions instead of current US citizens.

Do you agree with Harry Reid that Obamacare is a train wreck?
