Welcome to Myrtle Manor star Amanda Adams was arrested on suspicion of DUI last Friday morning, and police have released the dash camera video of the bust pursuant to freedom of information requests by local media.
The reality TV star’s arrest went down in the early morning hours in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. According to reports, Adams smashed her vehicle head on into an electric pole. Police reportedly discovered Adams and her black Jeep Wrangler under the electric pole at about 4:27 AM.
Adams took a breathalyzer test and reportedly blew a .20, more than twice the legal limit in South Carolina (and virtually every other state).
On the video (embedded below), Adams, 26, tells officers that as far as she can remember she drank three beers and one shot. She adds that she is only in town because she is on a “f***ing reality show,” but fortunately she avoids playing the “don’t you know I am?” card. The footage also shows Adams unable to successfully navigate field sobriety testing. When the officer reads Adams the standard Miranda warning, she interrupts the cop and says “I know all that.”
After being placed under arrest, an understandably remorseful Adams admits that “My daddy’s gonna hate me.”
The TLC reality series chronicles the daily life of the residents and staff at Myrtle Manor, also named Patrick’s Mobile Home Park, a trailer park community located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It premiered in March.
Two other Welcome to Myrtle Manor cast members had run-ins with the law last weekend. “Lindsay Brooke Colbert, 21, [is charged] with DUI and Taylor Burt, age 28, [is charged] with criminal sexual conduct with a minor younger than 16-years-old.”
