Father Arrested After Letting 9-Year-Old Son Drive Ferrari [Video]

An Indian business man has been arrested after he uploaded a video of his 9-year-old son driving his Ferrari to Youtube.

Mohammed Nisham, who is from Kerala in the southern state of India, filmed the 88 second clip of his son, who was driving the sports car with his 5-year-old brother in the passenger seat.

The clip generated thousands of views, and people responded with outrage, so much so that police then filed charges against Nisham.

Biju Jumar, an officer in charge of prosecuting the incident, remarked, “The police cyber cell alerted us of it and we questioned Mr. Nisham who admitted he encouraged his son to drive the car.”

It has now been confirmed that the father has been charged with endangering the life of his son, and it is thought that they will impound the Ferrari for the duration of the case.

Nisham easily posted the bail of around $100 before departing the prison.

However, the parents of the boy have declared that they are proud of their son, saying that he has driven their Lamborghini and Bentley in the past.

Amal Nisham, the boy’s mother, who also filmed the incident, said, “I am proud of him. He’s been driving since he was five. It was his ninth birthday, and since he was insisting for months, we allowed him to drive the Ferrari. He is a cautious and confident driver.”

She then added, “It’s not easy for a child to achieve such a feat at this young age.”

Nisham runs a prestigious real-estate and tobacco business, and apparently has a collection of cars that are worth in excess of $4 million and consists of 18 automobiles.

The Ferrari F430 has the potential to go as fast as 192mph, and can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just four seconds. You can watch the video below.

Do you think Mohammed Nisham should go to prison?
