Carrie Fisher Claims She’s Going To Be In ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’

Carrie Fisher has said once again that she’s going to appear in Star Wars: Episode VII.

Since the actress loves to crack jokes about her involvement in J.J. Abrams’ highly-anticipated sequel, it’s anybody’s guess if Fisher is telling the truth. However, it’s always fun to listen to her talk about the Star Wars franchise.

Carrie Fisher’s appearance at the Calgary Comics Expo included a bit of Star Wars news that attentive fans have heard before. The actress claimed that she will portray Princess Leia once again in Episode VII.

Fisher told the folks in attendance:

“I like being bought by Disney, because they never wanted to buy me before. I’m glad they are doing a new movie because they are sending a trainer to my house so I can get in really good shape. So I’m really eating a lot of sugar in advance, as you can see. By the time I really get down to it I will have eaten everything.”

Since Fisher tends to joke about her involvement in future Star Wars movies, it’s hard to take the actress seriously when she makes these sort of statements. Many fans were hoodwinked by Fisher earlier this year when she made a similar claim.

During an interview with Palm Beach Illustrated in March, Carrie Fisher said that she would reprise her famous role in J.J. Abrams’ movie. When she was asked to describe her character as an older woman, the actress launched in a weirdly comical description.

“Elderly. She’s in an intergalactic old folks’ home. I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle,” she explained.

A representative later explained that Fisher had simply been joking about the role. The rep added that nothing about her involvement had been confirmed.

What do you think about Carrie Fisher’s claims that she will appear in Episode VII? Do you believe her this time?
