‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Set Footage Appears Online [Video]
New set footage from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 features a brief encounter between the web-slinger and Max Dillon.
Although nothing has been officially confirmed about the video, it’s pretty clear from the clip embedded below that the guy in the glasses in Jamie Foxx. However, the footage itself seems to have been captured from an amateur photographer standing nearby.
The scene in question appears to be a chance encounter between the characters on the streets of New York before Dillon becomes Electro. Spider-Man can be seen fixing Max’s hair and adjusting his glasses as if he’d just bumped into him.
In addition to the set footage, the folks at Super Hero Hype have gotten their hands on several set photos features Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon. There are quite a few photos to sift through, so be sure to stop by the site if you’re curious.
As cool as the latest Amazing Spider-Man 2 footage might be, it’s not quite as dramatic as the footage of Electro that started making the rounds online a few weeks ago. That clip featured Fox in full-on Electro make-up, complete with a hoodie lined with nifty LED lights.
Here’s the official synopsis for the upcoming sequel:
“For Peter Parker, life is busy — between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen, high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.”
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Sally Field, Chris Cooper, B.J. Novak, and, possibly, Paul Giamatti. The film opens on May 2, 2014.
