‘Wayne’s World’ Cast Reunite, Mike Myers And Dana Carvey Lead Panel

Mike Myers and Dana Carvey reunited for a panel discussion to discuss their classic comedy hits Wayne’s World and Wayne’s World 2 in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening.

Their appearance together dismissed rumors that the pair had fallen out several years ago, and the comedians were seen joking and laughing on the red carpet before the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences event in Beverly Hills.

The duo had apparently quarrelled because Myers believed Carvey would overshadow him whilst Carvey believed that Myers had stolen his Dr. Evil voice from him.

Director Penelope Spheeris also attended the event despite the fact that she once stated about Myers that she “hated that b****** for years” after he prevented her directing Wayne’s World 2. Rob Lowe, Lara Flynn Boyle, and Tia Carrere, each of whom starred in the movies also turned up to the event, as did its producer, Lorne Michaels.

Talking about the production of the film, Mike Myers stated, “It was a weird time for me because my dad had just died, so for me it was a mixed blessing. My dad was dying during the making of it. The calls were either horrible news or the best news in the world.”

Myers then added, “To be honest with you I don’t remember that year at all. I remember finishing the film, then I remember my dad dying. Then I remember Dana and I being strapped to the front of a rocket and me putting on 25 lbs eating my way through it.”

Myers even discussed problems during the shoot, stating, “There are two scenes I resisted … in my Canadian ‘you can’t change things’ way.” He then talked about Robert Patrick’s Terminator cameo and a scene where Lara Flynn Boyle’s character Stacy crashes her bike.

Carrere, who played Cassandra, Wayne’s girlfriend, then tweeted, “Who’s up for Wayne’s World 3?”
