Jenelle Evans Arrested, Claims She Was ‘Set Up’ By Husband
Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans has been arrested on drug possession and assault charges. However, a source claims she was “set up” by her husband Courtland Rogers.
Caswell Beach Police explained that the reality show veteran was taken into custody for possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute heroin, simple assault and simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
Jenelle Evans was also served with a warrant for failing to pay child support by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.
After Jenelle Evans was arrested on drug and assault charges, a source close to the situation told the folks at Radar Online that she was “set up” by her husband Courtland Rogers.
While Evans has previously admitted that she has a drug problem, the insider claims the stuff found in their home did not belong to the reality TV star. Since the items in question were found in the common area of the house, the source stated that this “leaves all residents accountable.”
Authorities reportedly found a lot of stuff in Jenelle Evans’ home during their investigation. A source told TMZ that the Teen Mom 2 star was in possession of Percocet, 12 bindles of heroin, and illegal drug paraphernalia.
To make matters worse for Jenelle Evans, she was also charged with assaulting her husband with a piece furniture inside their home. Rogers was arrested after he allegedly hitting his wife “on the neck and striking her with a closed fist on her head.”
Rogers was also charged with intent to manufacture, sell, and distribute heroin.
The reality TV veteran left a rehabilitation facility after spending only four days receiving treatment for her drug addiction. A source explained that she only checked herself into rehab to “figure things out.”
“She wasn’t in rehab that long because she doesn’t think she really needs it. She’s ready to live her life like a normal person not on drugs or dealing with the crappy guys who were around her,” the insider explained.
