Justin Bieber Takes Tattoo Count To 14, Move Over Rod Steiger

Justin Bieber, a.k.a. the illustrated teen, has upped his tattoo count to 14.

Hot on the heels of the Koi carp tattoo seen on the singer while backstage at his Copenhagen show on Saturday, the 19-year-old has now added two more — an angel and a tiger — to his left arm.

The new tattoos could be clearly seen as the singer left his hotel in Stockholm, Sweden on Tuesday. Judging from the “rawness” of the designs, it looks like Bieber had them done very recently.

The Canadian teen is playing three concerts at the city’s Ericsson Globe and will perform his last show on Wednesday.

The angel, tiger, angel, and koi carp jostle for position on Bieber’s left arm with a six-month old owl tattoo and a large cross in the form of the Greek letter “Chi,” which means Christ.

The star’s rapidly growing body art collection includes his first tattoo, a seagull on his left hip which he had done on his 16th birthday. Bieber also had the word “Believe” inked on his inner left arm to celebrate the release of his same named 2012 album.

A fan tweeted about Bieber’s new tattoos:

Joining the above, the ink-addict has the hebrew word “Yeshua” stenciled on his torso, believed to be either Jesus’ Hebrew or Aramaic name. Likewise, Bieber’s father Jeremy, who shares his son’s penchant for tattoos, has a matching one.

There’s more. The “Boyfriend” singer, who has previously said he is part native Indian, also has a native Indian head replica of Canada’s junior ice hockey team the Stratford Cullitons on his left shoulder.

Last July, Bieber added a tattoo of the Japanese Kanji symbol for music on his right arm, a mere two months debuting a crown motif on his upper right chest. The singer also has Roman numerals for ‘4, 1, 75’ — his mother Pattie Mallette’s birthday — blazoned across this torso.

Openly Christian, the star has an image of Jesus Christ’s face on his left leg and a praying hand design on his calf. Tucked beneath the hand is a tattoo of a ring of roses.

Bearing in mind that Bieber has not yet hit his 20’s, still has a sizable amount of concert dates on his Believe world tour to go and new cities and tattooists to visit — it’s likely his tattoo count of 14 is just the tip of a humongous iceberg.

One wonders where his ink fascination will end: When he’s run out of skin? Not that he’s listening to me of course, but hopefully somebody will tell him tattoos don’t age so well.
