Jennifer Aniston, John Mayer Bump Into Each Other At Restaurant

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer recently shared an awkward moment together at a West Hollywood eatery.

The actress was out with her fiance Justin Theroux at the Sunset Tower on Wednesday. The two were joined by friends Chelsea Handler and Andre Balazs.

At some point during the evening, John Mayer showed up with a male friend in tow. Although he spotted Jennifer Aniston when he entered the restaurant, he did not make any attempt to speak to his ex-girlfriend. Unless they’re looking for trouble, not too many people in his position probably would.

“There was a bottle of wine on Jen’s table. Looked like a cute dinner with friends. They are all having fun and Jen and Justin look very sweet together,” a source explained to the folks at People.

In other words, the encounter was essentially a non-issue.

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer started dating back in 2008. After breaking up and getting back together again, the two decided to part ways in 2009. According to a source who spoke with Us Weekly, the singer-songwriter had a hard time getting his failed relationship with the actress.

“[John and Jen] weren’t right for each other, but he is really a good guy. It really took him a long time to get over her. He really loved her a lot,” the anonymous individual explained.

John Mayer has made a mini-career out of dating celebrities. He was famously linked to fellow musician Katy Perry. Unfortunately, this relationship would also hit a dead end. The two reportedly split shortly after the romance started heating up.

“It’s been a really tough time for Katy. John just emotionally bailed on her. She can’t believe she’s back to square one. She’s had enough of men,” a source explained.
